Coronavirus Relief Fund Exceeds $1 Million | COVID19 Press Briefing

Mayor Robert Garcia and the Long Beach Department of Health and Human Services provide the community the latest coronavirus updates for Monday, April 13, 2020. Information for this briefing include, gathering data on communities mostly effected by COVID-19, providing equal access to all residents and continued physical distancing to flatten the curve. The City of Long Beach is providing help for local businesses to aid in the economic recovery to follow. The Long Beach Relief Fund has raised over $1,000,000 to help feed low income families, assist seniors, domestic violence victims and homeless. I'm sorry Mayor, but please don't give to an organization that steels funds from communities, like the organization Centro CHA, that continues to abuse the vulnerable and claims that the West Side community is being served and that is a lie. This is a continuation pattern we have seen from that organization that is not even located on the West Side of Long Beach..
